Case Study Consultant/Writer

PROMETRIC, a leader in the computer-based testing industry, is looking for Chief Nursing Officers to provide subject matter expertise and guidance to write case studies for a university client of theirs. The ideal person would write two to three case studies for a nursing exam. Training and guidance on case study content will be provided.

A masters degree in leadership and management, organizational management or administration is preferred but not required. This work is largely internet-based, so writers must have access to email and the internet, and be able to work independently. Case study writers work as independent contractors. This is part-time, flexible work to be completed from home or office.

Senior Vice President, Patient Care Services

Cancer Treatment Centers of America, (CTCA), is identifying and evaluating candidates for the position of Vice President of Patient Care Services. Located in Goodyear, Arizona, the Vice President of Patient Care Services supports the mission of Western Regional Medical Center by treating patients as a whole person in a compassionate and caring environment. The Vice President assumes responsibility for development and implementation of the hospital's plan for the provision of nursing and patient care. The Vice President will report directly to the President and Chief Executive Officer of The Western Regional Medical Center.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE PEDIATRIC SENIOR DIRECTOR:

  • Provide leadership in the development and implementation of the overall strategic business plan for the pediatric service line to ensure growth of the Children's Hospital. The includes integration of strategic planning, quality outcomes, resource utilization/planning and service delivery to obtain defined business results.
  • Provides leadership to multi-disciplinary teams in analyzing, developing, negotiating, and overseeing contracts for the pediatric service line with the company's managed care division. Responsible for working with the managed care and finance departments to develop and maintain the information infrastructure necessary to successfully support managed care contracts for the service line.
  • Build collaborative, partnering relationships with physician groups and physician networks in such a way as to strengthen and encourage contracting and strategic relationships including development of outreach opportunities for pediatric program referrals. * Provides leadership for those in areas of responsibility and related areas that results in a collegiality between staff, physicians and the leadership team which is reflected by lowered work intensity, higher retention of good performers and satisfaction of physicians.
  • Assesses overall staffing effectiveness in areas of responsibility by ensuring the appropriate number, competency and skill mix of staff are involved in the provision of needed health care services to the pediatric population. Assures responsible use of labor budget by making good hiring decisions, providing a work environment that promotes retention and decreasing overtime and casual labor expenses.

SCOPE:
Under the direction of the COO and in collaboration with the elected Chairman of the Department of Pediatrics, this position has responsibility for continued growth and development of the Children's Hospital.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Pediatric Clinical Background as a Registered Nurse-REQUIRED
  • 5 years management experience in medium to large size medical center
